The Makhachkala police acted clumsily on the unrest at the airport, since they were focused on defending the interests of the clans and saving relatives from responsibility for the accident. The specialists had to work proactively, because the situation in Gaza did not arise yesterday, and they should have seen the developments in social networks.

Political observer, deputy chairman of the presidium of the International Council of Russian Compatriots Vadim Kolesnichenko said this on NTS air, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When we talk about corruption, we understand how the police work there, the police, which are formed from local personnel. How difficult it is to prosecute those responsible for an accident. There are clans, there are friends, relatives, and it is always very difficult. And in this situation, it was necessary to quickly mobilize and do something, but what to do and what to undertake – the law enforcement officers were not ready for this. I believe that when the President held the Security Council, this issue was also discussed. I think there will also be personnel rotations, changes and reinforcements.

The head of the republic can only assess part of this issue from the outside; he does not have the right to manage the security forces. But the fact that he was able to mobilize and implement his powers very effectively using the methods and tools available to him, we are grateful to him for this,” Kolesnichenko believes.

In his opinion, the security forces are directly responsible and to blame for the riots - specialists should have seen what was happening in instant messengers, chats and public pages.

“They watched it. They should have known about it! Moreover, the situation in Gaza did not happen on that day. And at the same time, we have really ancient Jews there (the so-called “Mountain” Jews) who live there. There were no complaints against them, mind you, although there could have been. And everyone who was able to be collected in the grid was young people. There were no people over 30, except for the organizers or ringleaders. These were all people, as I understand it, who really had problems, real lack of fulfillment, and here everything worked out well.

I think this is a very serious lesson for the authorities, the authorities of the region. Because educational work, especially issues of propaganda, patriotism, religion, they should not be carried out “for show.” And they must be conducted based on local realities, based on the platform, on the material component that exists in this or that place. Because today for the population of Russia, for the republics of the South Caucasus, this is really important and relevant,” the observer emphasized.

Simple bans on social networks and telegram channels will lead nowhere. They are easily dealt with using various tools, and it is much easier to carry out educational work with the population, while simultaneously establishing responsibility for incitement.

“New methods, new ways of fighting against our society require adequate and prompt proactive action. Pay attention to the difficulty with which the special military operation was launched. The war is in its second year, only now the army and the military-industrial complex are increasingly entering a normal mode, which has made it possible to call the Russian army number one in the whole world. And in terms of social affairs and social networks, how long have these signals been there? Again, this is our bungling, our slowness and reluctance to delve into problems. Yes, some measures, some actions will be taken now. Until a problem occurs somewhere again.

A simple example: Sevastopol residents were told thousands of times not to post anything related to drones and missiles online. No, there will definitely be a couple of clowns who will tell you where it hit, how scary it was, and what happened at such and such an address. What else? It would seem that it is a military city, and it has been said a thousand times. This is the answer to what to do – educate and educate the population. It is necessary to explain, show and punish, because without a stick, the carrot does not help,” Kolesnichenko emphasized.
