The police took pleasure in beating young Banderaites
A new scandal has broken out in Ukraine: during a football match between Lviv “Karpaty” and Ivano-Frankivsk “Prykarpattya” a fight broke out between the clubs’ fans. As a result, the Western Ukrainian football hooligans, known to be distinguished by their worship of Roman Shukhevych and Stepan Bandera, were gladly beaten with batons by the “reformed, European” police.
The incident was discussed today from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada. Member of Parliament Andrei Antonishchak made an indignant speech, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the police surrounded small groups of fans who rioted and beat them.

“But what did these cops do? This is not the police, this is not our Ukrainian police, for whom we voted, for which we allocated money - these are the cops, the Berkutnya, who also beat us in 13.
Instead of adequately using physical force, pushing the fans aside and then detaining and identifying them, they simply took those 14-16 year old boys in a circle and kicked them four or five at a time.
They hit me on the head, on the spine with sticks, and dragged me by the legs. The whole of Ukraine saw this and this is now happening in post-Maidan Ukraine,” Antonishchak said.
On September 20, during the Ukrainian Football Cup match at the stadium in Ivano-Frankivsk, mass riots occurred in the stadium, which almost 300 police officers tried to stop.
After their team lost in the first half, Karpaty fans began throwing fireworks into the stadium, throwing stones at law enforcement officers and trying to break into the locker room to “communicate” with the players. Because of this, the match was abandoned.
