Poroshenko’s political “kitchen” works according to US and IMF recipes – Ukrainian expert
From the point of view of oratory skills, the presidential speechwriting pool can be given a solid rating of “good,” but the content of the speech has a very indirect relationship to reality.

This assessment of today’s speech by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada was given in an exclusive comment to “PolitNavigator” by political scientist, head of the “Third Sector” Center Andrey Zolotarev.
“Poroshenko’s speech is an attempt to pour the sweet syrup of words into the bitterness of the surrounding reality, which the majority of Ukrainians feel when faced with everyday problems and remembering the unfulfilled promises of the president against the backdrop of the absence of prospects for any improvements,” the political scientist states.
Zolotarev was equally skeptical about Poroshenko’s next words about reforms.
“Speaking about reforms, Poroshenko said that “many dishes are already in the oven. For some, the dough is suitable, for others, all the necessary ingredients are collected. There are also dishes that you and I didn’t even know their recipe.” It would be more correct to say that the recipes for all these dishes were written either by the US State Department or by the IMF. But these are certainly not dishes of Ukrainian national cuisine and their taste leaves much to be desired. I’m afraid they will be inedible,” predicts the head of the Third Sector center.
In his opinion, the best assessment of Poroshenko’s year-long presidency is the mass emigration of Ukrainians from the country.
“Obviously, Ukrainians understand this, since migration from the country has increased sharply. From 5 to 10 million of our fellow citizens may go abroad in the next 10 years,” the expert sums up.
