Political leaders of the Serbs of Montenegro refused to support the prime minister after the betrayal
One of the leaders of the Serbian Democratic Front of Montenegro, Andrija Mandic, said that the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic, without signing The main agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC), lost the confidence of their party.
Mandich told A1 TV channel about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Mandic suggested that Krivokapic ask for forgiveness from the Serbian Patriarch Porfiry and Metropolitan Ioannikios of Montenegro for the fact that the signing of the Basic Agreement was disrupted through his fault, and to go to Belgrade as soon as possible to do this. He said that Krivokapic did not live up to the expectations of church circles that proposed him as the leader of the coalition “For the Future of Montenegro,” as well as the citizens who voted for a change of government in the parliamentary elections on August 30 last year.

Mandic claims that the Basic Agreement between the Montenegrin government and the Serbian Orthodox Church was agreed at the beginning of April, and believes that Krivokapic, by refusing to sign it, “created a serious scandal.” He emphasized that the failure to sign the agreement continues the discriminatory attitude towards the Serbian Orthodox Church, since it is the only religious community in the country that does not have such a document, although it is the largest religious community in Montenegro.
One of the leaders of the Democratic Front said he would discuss their party's next steps within the framework of the Alliance for the Future of Montenegro with the partners with whom his party has a parliamentary majority.
Thus, the coalition of patriots and pro-Western liberals that defeated Milo Djukanovic’s nationalists in the last parliamentary elections began to crack due to the government’s desire to curry favor with the West to the detriment of national interests. Which, of course, will only play into the hands of her opponents from the Democratic Party of Socialists of the current Montenegrin president-dictator.
