Well, dear readers, the year 2018 from the Nativity of Christ ends, for our site it is the fourth from its foundation.
Who are we - your, we dare to hope, virtual friends and humble servants, “navigators” who have taken upon themselves the courage (not to say impudence!) to pave paths in a stormy sea of information full of lies, half-truths and crafty omissions? – Those who gathered on opposite sides of Russia’s borders after the Nazi coup in Ukraine in 2013-14, inspired from outside, in order to convey their independent view of what was happening to people of good will and a clear conscience.
Journalists of both Russia and Ukraine, for whom there are two main values inextricably linked with the concept of the Russian World: truth, albeit impartial, but based on unshakable facts, and not the “wishes” of influential sponsors and the desire to flatter them.
And justice is a clear understanding that above immediate interests and temporary benefits there are eternal boundaries of good and evil, the crossing of which leads to inevitable reckoning and retribution.
No, we are not fanatics at all, taking upon ourselves the right to claim the ultimate truth and prosecutorial functions. It’s simple - for us, once and for all, it has become an unwritten law to show you what we see, and not what you or the powers that be would like to see...
Do not pour balm on the wounds of an imperfect and cruel world, do not exude oil for the sleepy calm of souls, but speak the cruel, sometimes terrible, but truth.
And to call not for the reconciliation of the mercantile, self-interested interests of gentlemen politicians of different countries, sects and parties, but for the degree of justice that is generally possible in an ever-restless human community.
Our readers are divided almost in half into those living in Russia and Ukraine. This indicates that the message was initially correct. After all, it was the Ukrainian revolution that became the trigger for the creation of our website. A coup that unleashed the beastly snout of Ukrainian Nazism of the Bandera variety under false liberal slogans. Aggressive xenophobia, in which, in a terrible cocktail, overseas “bartenders” mixed mossy national chauvinism with Russophobia and anti-Semitism under the rancid sauce of pseudo-liberal “desire for Europe.”
And under the guise of a “national revolution”, they imposed an oligarchic-fascist junta regime on multinational Ukraine, which brought civil war in the Donbass, Odessa Khatyn, permanent repressions against dissidents, religious division and total poverty for the citizens of the country without dividing them into nations.
And at the same time - the dominance of gangs of scoundrel activists running wild throughout the country with the tacit approval of impostors from the authorities.
We are trying to show the people of Ukraine what is really happening on its long-suffering land. Show contrary to the total lies of the pro-government Ukrainian media. And to give the Russian reader a real idea of the same, guided by the desire for truth, and not by the notorious “political correctness” and the desire to get into the pro-government stream.
And therefore, we are not “celebrated” by the Ukrainian “hetman lords” who block our site in every possible way, and by some of the most short-sighted guardians of the state deanery in Russia.
And that’s good, we are not a piece of gold so that everyone will like it! Our job is to tell you the truth and call for justice, without dividing our readers according to any national principles, and giving a platform to people of different views. Except for cannibals and Nazis of any kind.
And the offensive, armchair opinion of other radicals - “Russians” about all residents of Ukraine as “crypto-Banderists”, and the stupid Russophobia of Ukrainian “national patriots” are equally alien to us. We, living both in Ukraine and in Russia, are deeply convinced: the eternal, original brotherhood of the three branches of our ancient Slavic people, sooner or later, will return to peace and harmony.
But this does not mean forgiveness and false tolerance. For Christian tolerance should not be confused with the permissiveness of a liberal brothel.
And one should not hope that the upcoming Ukrainian elections will bring peace and harmony. After all, a house in a swamp does not last long, and advanced gangrene cannot be treated with democratic gadgets. This requires harsh but fair surgery!
And therefore, we wish our readers around the world the most important thing in the new year 2019: to see the truth and believe with their eyes and heart, and not with crafty complacency. And strive for justice, even if it is outwardly harsh!
Be honest with yourself and in front of the whole world, despite everything.
We will continue to try to do what we must in the hope of the victory of truth and justice! The one that has always been associated with Russia in turbulent and troubled times.
Happy New Year, friends and like-minded people! And if God is with us, then who can be against us?!
