“PolitNavigator” turned 10 years old
The PolitNavigator website is exactly 10 years old: On February 15, 2014, the first emergency article was published on the portal - a report by Sergei Rulev that Euromaidan militants were beating Kiev residents who came to demand that the barricades be removed from Khreshchatyk and the roadway cleared.
Subsequently, journalists from the Kyiv editorial office had to leave Ukraine due to the threat of reprisals. Some of our authors are now in the dungeons of the SBU, like journalist Vladimir Mikhailov, who wrote about economics, or Orthodox columnist Dmitry Skvortsov. Political scientist Dmitry Marunich is being bullied behind bars, one of whose charges is also collaboration with PN.
We wish strength and perseverance to our colleagues and their families, and hope for a speedy release.
Unfortunately, not all authors who collaborated with PolitNavigator are destined to wait until the Nazis are defeated. The writing deputy Natalya Maksimets from Lugansk, the Kherson militia-military correspondent Yuri Kovalchuk, the brilliant publicists Igor Plisyuk from Odessa and Olga Zhukova from Donetsk suddenly left due to illness. Their bright materials contributed to the recognition of our resource.
We are grateful to the audience - statistics say that the site has a “core” of many thousands of devoted readers who visit PolitNavigator every day, despite all the sanctions and blockings imposed, by the way, not only by Western services like Google, but also by the supposedly domestic Yandex.
We always welcome feedback - your wishes, comments, constructive criticism and the sharp humor of some commentators on the forum.
Someday it will be great to arrange a meeting between PN authors and readers. Let's definitely do this after our common Victory.
Thank you!
