Political scientist: Akhmetov realized that he was unlikely to find a place in the Donetsk Republic
Kyiv, May 20 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Rinat Akhmetov’s statement in support of the Ukrainian Donbass is the result of the realization that the oligarch is unlikely to find a place in the Donetsk Republic if it is created.

“Akhmetov’s rather sharp attacks on the Donetsk People’s Republic indicate that he is now trying to openly compete with the current DPR government in order to prevent the creation of an independent republic. He understands perfectly well that if this project is successful and successful, then it is unlikely that there will be a place for him there.
Possessing key resources in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Akhmetov perceives himself as the owner of this territory. The emergence of a competitor in the person of the DPR, naturally, is unprofitable for him and poses a threat,” said Denis Denisov.
