Political scientist: European observers will help convey the truth about the primaries in Donbass
European observers monitoring the start of preparations for the primaries in the DPR will make it possible to convey to the West information about the true state of affairs in Donbass and the guilt of the Ukrainian side for the failure to implement the Minsk agreements.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by political scientist Denis Denisov, an expert at the Institute of CIS Countries.

“It is necessary to state that the mechanism has already been launched, it is inevitable, these primaries will take place in the territories of the DPR and LPR. Representatives of the international community have already participated in the organization of the primaries. Including representatives of EU countries, who spoke in a fairly positive manner regarding both the conduct of the primaries and the preliminary organization, which they were able to see already on the spot.
I would like that through these people, the media of both the West and Ukraine would receive objective information about what is happening on the territory of the DPR and LPR.
We know that all events related to the elections in the DPR and LPR are in limbo. Ukraine is simply sabotaging the implementation of this point and is not making contact.
According to world practice, a democratic state is characterized by such features as elections. Here the DPR and LPR demonstrate that they are following the democratic path of development, rejecting the authoritarian direction. It is the people who, through primaries, are trying to promote their candidates to managerial positions - people whom they really trust. This is a direct act of democracy,” Denisov reflects.
