Political scientist: The main conclusion from the meeting between Trump and Poroshenko is that the chatter in Kyiv is insignificant
Petro Poroshenko and Donald Trump limited themselves to stock phrases in public, so the true results of the meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States will become known later. However, the main detail - the atmosphere of the negotiations was radically different from the numerous bellicose statements of politicians in Kyiv.

“In fact, neither one nor the other head of state said anything that could make headlines. Another thing is that the most important thing is what actions will follow after this meeting, because of the semantic content there is only one detail regarding the “Minsk agreements”. In particular, Petro Poroshenko said about it that there is no alternative to the agreements.
That is, all the talk regarding the possible reformatting of agreements with the involvement of the United States turned out to be simply insignificant.
“Soon we will be able to observe a meeting between Trump and Putin, at which, indeed, the fundamental issue regarding Donbass, the situation in Ukraine as a whole and the US position on this issue can be resolved,” Denisov said.
