Political scientist-foreign agent called on Germany to forgive Hitler and deprive Russia of Victory over Nazism
It is high time for German politicians to get rid of their guilt complex regarding the Second World War in relation to Russia.
Russian political scientist-foreign agent Ivan Preobrazhensky stated this on the Deutsche Welle channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter asked what Germany should not repeat in its new Eastern policy.
“Germany must absolutely renounce self-deception. If Germany does not strictly proceed from its economic and political interests and at the same time does not realistically assess what is happening in Russia and proceeds from historical reminiscences, then Germany, of course, will not be able to create a new adequate Eastern policy.
Germany will have to get rid of the World War II complex, because Russia, Putin's Russia, is not from this point of view any legal successor to the Soviet Union for a very long time. She has no moral right to take credit for the liberation of Europe from Nazism,” reasoned Preobrazhensky, who took the name Ivan.
DW political commentator and Russophobe Nikita Zholkver agreed with the foreign agent.
“In principle, I agree with Ivan. In my interpretation, this means abandoning romanticism, a romantic attitude towards Russia, the Russian soul, Russian culture, Russian traditions, and so on. And consider this country as a country with its own interests and treat it as a country that has its own interests. Like China or Saudi Arabia,” the “journalist” added.
