Political scientist Kornilov besieged ex-“regionals” on Russian TV
Former deputies of the Verkhovna Rada from the Party of Regions, accusing ex-President Viktor Yanukovych of weakness and unwillingness to disperse the Euromaidan on Russian talk shows, bear no less responsibility for the coup d’etat in Ukraine.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the air of the talk show “Evening”.

“When Maidan began, Yanukovych could no longer do anything, I dare to assure you. If he had declared an ATO, bombs would now be exploding somewhere near Ternopil, and not near Donetsk, and the Donetsk people would not have supported this, since we are peaceful people and would not dance joyfully over the deaths of Galicians.
Yanukovych would appear as a bloody tyrant, both in Russia and Ukraine. He could no longer do anything during the Maidan. He is, of course, primarily to blame. Some of the deputies present here are also to blame, who, instead of developing this wave of rapprochement with Russia after the Kharkov agreements, suddenly began to engage in European integration.
They missed the ideology, began to flirt with the wrong people, thinking that this is a God-given electorate,” Kornilov said.
