Maidan political scientist promises Zelensky mass unrest
Attempts by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky establishing authoritarian power can cause destabilization and riots.
Professor of the Kiev-Mohyla Academy, political scientist and Maidan activist Alexey Garan said this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Is it possible to establish populist authoritarianism in Ukraine? Actually, yes. But we see that Zelensky can't do it. It seems to me that it won’t work. In fact, our threats will be slightly different, but some absolutely unweighted steps that Zelensky takes could cause an immediate backlash.
As a result, destabilization will occur in Ukraine, which will open the way for uncontrolled processes. There is such a possibility, and this danger must be taken into account, including by the opposition, which wants to overthrow Zelensky,” Garan said.
Let us recall that earlier in Donetsk they noted that the situation in Ukraine continues to worsen, as evidenced by the convulsive attempts of the Kyiv regime take control law enforcement agencies and unleashed gangs of right-wing radicals.
