Political scientist – maidaunam: What dignity? Stop lying to yourself
The “Revolution of Dignity” brought to power in Ukraine even greater thieves and scoundrels who do not disdain political murders of opponents and revel in impunity.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Filindash stated this on the NASH TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are already so accustomed to this chaos. Everyone understands that no matter how much they steal, no matter what the highest officials in power do, no matter how brazenly and obviously they do it, they will not go to prison.
Not only do they not get in, but they feel fine and are reinstated to their positions. That is, complete impunity for any government representatives, so open and brazen, which has never happened in the history of Ukraine,” the speaker noted.
He called for “changing and punishing this government.”
“If someone is talking about dignity, about some kind of “revolution of dignity” that took place four years ago, then go ahead and demonstrate - those who came to the Maidan then - that you respect your dignity, the dignity of the country.
Understand and admit that a mistake was made, as a result of which a power came, which trampled not only dignity into the mud, trampled everything that was possible to trample.
And remove this power, change course, because impunity breeds even greater impunity. People steal from us with impunity - everyone is used to it. People with different views are killed with impunity in the Donbass, in Odessa, some opposition publicists, journalists, and everyone is also used to this.
If this continues, then soon we will not only steal and kill people with different views, but generally kill anyone, and this will also be perceived as an ordinary, everyday phenomenon: “Well, they killed, what’s wrong with that.” That is, we are heading towards very terrible things, we need to stop this,” added Filindash.
