The materials of the “Ukrainian People’s Tribunal,” which last weekend in Lugansk sentenced Petro Poroshenko and his entourage to life imprisonment, will play an important role in the future process of denazification of Ukraine.
Russian political scientist Oleg Matveychev told PolitNavigator about this.
“At the moment, the tribunal’s decision may still have symbolic significance. Certain accusations have been collected, they will be useful in the future - later, when denazification takes place, and the trial of the junta actually takes place, of course, these accusations can form the basis for future trials and be recognized by an international court.
Of course, all the crimes committed by the junta on the territory of Ukraine need to be collected, catalogued, filed in folders, and materials accumulated. Just as with German fascism, which was much stronger, nevertheless ended badly, so Ukrainian fascism will end even worse. Its leaders and performers will all receive what they deserve,” Matveychev said.
