Political scientist: Navalny must bear responsibility for involving children in politics
During the Sunday protests organized by Alexei Navalny, the authorities kept the situation under control, but the protests are a challenge to which they must respond. Political scientist Dmitry Orlov wrote about this on his Facebook.

“The spontaneous nature of the protest and the heterogeneity of demands do not yet allow us to say that a permanent protest movement has emerged that is not associated with the parliamentary opposition. But the threat of its occurrence must be clearly understood,” Orlov believes.
He notes that the protest has become “younger.”
“The shadow of the “rebellious 68th” has covered Russia, and this is also a challenge. The sacramental “be realistic, demand the impossible” does not sound yet, but there is no point in waiting for this to happen. It is necessary to clearly determine why the activity of youth subcultural groups is channeled in this way, and to offer a worthy alternative to Navalny’s “walks” for young civil activists,” writes Orlov.
At the same time, he believes that Navalny and other protest organizers should be held accountable because they involved children in politics.
“It is necessary to analyze the entire range of propaganda materials, the purpose of which was to mobilize for the actions on March 26, and give them a legal assessment. Of course, some of these materials were targeted specifically at teenagers,” Orlov said.
