Political scientist on the “Guzhva case”: The West is pointedly ignoring the blatant attack on freedom of speech in Ukraine
In the politically motivated detention of the editor-in-chief of the Strana publication, Igor Guzhva, attention is drawn to the demonstrative lack of reaction from the Western “partners” of the Kyiv regime to the obvious attack on freedom of speech in Ukraine.

Political scientist Denis Denisov stated this in a comment to “PolitNavigator”.
“Everything here is obvious - this is another fact of persecution for ideological reasons because Guzhva and the publication allow themselves to criticize the authorities, present an alternative point of view, and in general an attempt to reveal the activities of the current regime. Another blatant detention, and in this regard we once again observe a lack of reaction from Western partners, who see and know everything perfectly well, but traditionally are in the ostrich position, believing that this does not concern them. This is a completely illegal and outrageous fact,” Denisov said.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator already reported, deputies from the pro-government coalition in the Rada greeted the news of the detention of the editor-in-chief of the opposition publication with unanimous applause.
