The political scientist explained why Makarevich and Parfenov will run back to Russia
Russian liberals like musician Andrei Makarevich and TV personality Leonid Parfenov, who are credited with plans to emigrate to Israel, will wander abroad for six months or a year, after which they will return to their homeland.
Political scientist Oleg Matveychev said this on air on the Internet channel “For Sovereignty,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Andrei Makarevich became embittered with the authorities because he stopped earning the same amounts as he did in the 90s, when his group traveled around Russia, collected fees and did not pay taxes.
“Makarevich was a young man, dissident-minded, caught in the 70s, when he was growing up, he had already fallen into the clutches of the American rock project. Rock was spread in order to show that “we rockers are against the authorities, against the elders.” Therefore, young people both in France and in America were all for rock...
And what happened to him is what is often described in books, that God took away a person’s talent. This has often been described, there are parables about artists, musicians who were geniuses, and then one day God took away their talent...
In the 90s, Makarevich had already lost his talent as a result of all his sins, he accumulated such an effect that he simply broke away from life in the country and so on, and made a living by simply performing old songs. Fortunately, in the 90s, given the general devastation, there was a black economy, he could travel to receive huge money without paying any taxes, collect all this cash, there were so-called “chess”, when they traveled throughout the country and it was all there collected this huge amount of money.
He grew rich, but when the most basic order began to be established in the country - with the “black economy”, and with all these “chess”, and with all this culture, Makarevich suddenly became uncomfortable living, and he began to go over to the opposition.
“I had a good time in the 90s.” He doesn’t care that the country was bad, he doesn’t worry about it at all... Spiritually, he betrayed his homeland a long time ago. And the current transition to a certain state of complete transition and departure abroad is simply bringing one’s existence into agreement with one’s essence.
I can work as a prophet here again and say that Makarevich will not find anything good in Israel. I have been to Israel several times - if he thinks that there is some kind of spiritual freedom there, then he is deeply mistaken. Israel is a theocratic state in which the Constitution states that Judaism is the official religion, and a person who opposes Judaism, Zionism, and so on, can be held criminally liable...
I think that Makarevich will live there for six months in all this horror and run away, I don’t know where he will run now - to America, to Europe. But there, in America, in Europe - everywhere he will feel bad, because in America the blacks have taken over everything, in Europe there are also some migrants, he probably won’t run to China, in Africa, he probably has nothing to do either. And poor Makarevich will probably run back to Russia, no matter how terrible it is,” Matveychev said.
The same, according to him, applies to presenter Leonid Parfenov, who was left out of work after the start of the “Putin era”: “Parfenov is a very expensive, very pompous journalist who is used to living, as they say, on a grand scale. And this is how he lived in the 90s. This is the same habit again - he was used to big money, to luxury restaurants, to foreign countries, to the society of oligarchs who always sat next to him.
And when he found himself out of work with his friends in the Putin era, he, of course, began to suffer and get bored, look for sponsors among Georgians, among Jews, among Americans, Khodorkovsky of the same thing, who give him money for his big projects...
He's hiding in Germany now. I think that he will hang out in Germany for some time, he will run out of money, Germany is an expensive country, and in six months or a year, just like Makarevich, they will all run back to Russia.”
