Political scientist: Kuchma thwarted the signing of the Steinmeier formula
The family of Leonid Kuchma, interested in playing the role of mediators in negotiations between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, deliberately disrupted preparations for the meeting in the Normandy format, before which Kyiv was supposed to record in writing its readiness to implement the Minsk agreements according to the Steinmeier formula.
This version was voiced on the PolitWera channel by Ukrainian political scientist Dmitry Dzhangirov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many people are not satisfied with a very simple point - Zelensky personally reached an agreement with Putin, and it turned out that no intermediaries are needed. Neither Medvedchuk with Boyko and Rabinovich, nor Pinchuk with Kuchma, nor Kolomoisky with his exit line.
He was shown that intermediaries were needed, and experienced ones. But, imagine, everything worked out. Why then all these people? Why the cunning Pinchuk with his “YES” if Zelensky personally can resolve this issue?
Well, these same people, they have already ripped it off. Those people who do not want Zelensky to decide this directly, so that he agrees on everything without them. They thwarted him because these people were at the last technical stage - Kuchma,” Dzhangirov claims.
“Zelensky showed a certain political courage; he tried to negotiate directly with Putin. There were people who blocked it,” says the Ukrainian expert.
