Political scientist Poroshenko declared the Russian lawyer of the Unsovites “Medvedchuk’s agent”
Political scientist Taras Berezovets, who works for the administration of Petro Poroshenko, said that Russian lawyer Ilya Novikov can work for Viktor Medvedchuk and other lawyers from the Russian Federation defending Ukrainians previously allegedly broke off any contacts with him.

“It is necessary to save Ukrainians, that’s a fact. However, one should be extremely careful about Novikov’s actions,” said political scientist Poroshenko
He noted that earlier the Russian lawyer had made a number of “extremely ambiguous statements,” for example, supporting the initiative of People’s Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, whose lawyer he was, to hold direct negotiations with the leaders of the DPR/LPR.
“Other Russian lawyers Mark Feigin and Nikolai Polozov previously broke off any contact with Novikov, who is suspected of working for Viktor Medvedchuk. In short, there are more than enough questions for Novikov. Therefore, Yatsenyuk clearly should not rush to answer. It’s a muddy story,” Berezovets emphasized.
