“The entire press conference between Hollande and Merkel after the Paris talks boiled down to instructions to Ukraine and Poroshenko. There weren’t even any words from them that Moscow should do something, except for one thing - Moscow must convince the Donbass to cancel the elections until the time when it can be done according to Ukrainian laws with the election law agreed with the Donetsk ones .
This was the same feature that was originally laid down by Moscow, an obvious preparation. But now it is obvious that Moscow and Donbass have passed their part of the journey... and the main obligations are assigned to Kyiv. Moreover, it was clear that the European position was approaching this. But the fact that official Washington shares the same position came as a surprise,” Pogrebinsky said.
