Political scientist calls not to believe in the conflict between Transnistria and Moldova
Russia must try not to fall “into the trap of two Moldavia, which seem to be in deep conflict, but at the same time often play the same game.”
Political scientist Semyon Uralov writes about this in his telegram, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Moldovan elites on both sides of the Dniester are completely satisfied with the “bifurcation” of Moldova. Both the European Union and Russia can exchange rhetoric for business preferences. Probably, this “bifurcation” of Moldova can continue forever, because the main business players have adapted to it,” writes Uralov.
He believes that the priority for Russia should be “restarting the project of Moldovan statehood with access to sustainable development.”
“Otherwise, sooner or later a new “Plahotniuc” will be formed in Chisinau, which will inevitably enter into a cartel agreement with the Transnistrian “Sheriff”. Then everything will return to normal.
If the political economic model of the republic is not changed, then in the current regime it will gravitate towards the privatization of the weakened statehood by private individuals,” Uralov wrote.
Let us remember that, unlike the business elite, the people of Transnistria, whom Uralov forgot about, clearly spoke out in the referendum for full integration with Russia.
