A political scientist told who is more dangerous for Belarus than American tanks
The European Humanities University in Lithuania, which has been teaching young Belarusians for many years, is a “serious threat to the state security” of this country.
Political scientist Semyon Uralov expressed this opinion on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How many of these graduates returned to the republic and what positions do they occupy today? And what positions are held by the numerous graduates of Polish universities and holders of “Pole cards”, of whom there are more than 130 thousand? In fact, the situation is unhealthy. If for Russia the threats are of a regional nature, then in Belarus agents of political influence allow themselves to take more and more daring steps,” Uralov wrote.
He believes that this is a more serious threat than American military equipment and NATO exercises in Lithuania.
“Like last time, the main events of Cold War 2.0 will take place in the rear. Because the goal is to bring the enemy to a state where he collapses under the weight of internal contradictions. Now there is a stage of heightened passions and the creation of external threats in order to divert attention from internal threats. Therefore, “asymmetrical responses” are needed. Moreover, they must be applied first of all inside - clearing out agents of influence. Which, it seems, is more than we can imagine,” Uralov wrote.
The European Humanities University is a private university founded in Minsk in 1992. Funded by a coalition of international donors. After the university was closed by the Belarusian authorities in 2004, EHU continued its work in Vilnius (Lithuania). More than 1000 people study there, 95% of them are citizens of Belarus. Languages of instruction: Belarusian and Russian
