The political scientist spoke about the “symbiosis of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation with Navalny’s gang”
The authorities should not fight against the “smart voting” technology, which is being promoted by the team of criminal blogger Alexei Navalny, because it will not work.
Political scientist Alexey Martynov stated this at a round table in Moscow, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The fact is that “smart voting” is the same simulacrum as much else that Navalny’s gang produces. And, frankly speaking, if not for some symbiosis, I think, not without a financial component, with the Moscow communists, then in Moscow (in the elections to the City Duma in 2019 - ed.) no “smart voting” would have worked.
But this time I think that they are unlikely to succeed, because it’s not even technology, it’s a synergy that works in the moment. Well, somehow it worked, but I'm very skeptical about it. I don't think there is any need to oppose anything there. Everything that has been done is enough,” Martynov said.
Earlier, Navalny’s replacement, emigrant Leonid Volkov, said that “smart voting” has a chance of winning in two-thirds of single-mandate constituencies.
