Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This year I specially watched the president’s speech on TV on May 8 at 11 pm. He joyfully and as if sincerely congratulated the veterans on Victory Day. On May 9, statements were made from the same side about Putin’s technology, the colony of Moscow and everything else. This two-facedness of politicians, unfortunately, adds fuel to the fire and not only fragments society, but also has a very negative impact on the activities of law enforcement agencies. An ordinary policeman in such a situation is completely disoriented. He is afraid of becoming a victim of political squabbles. Even seeing a fight at a rally, he tries not to take part in it and not become a scapegoat,” the expert noted.
