Political scientist: Zelensky’s technologists are tricking the Kremlin into taking the first counter step
Certain support for Vladimir Zelensky among part of the Russian media environment is not a reason for Russia, in the event of his victory, to make any concessions to the new administration of the President of Ukraine.
The presenter of the program, political scientist Sergei Mikheev, said this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Zelensky theoretically gives us a chance,” but it seems to me, to be honest, that we are also being “conned” a little into this. So, you know, they say: “there is such a Poroshenko, a terrible monster, look at his face” - and indeed, he is a terrible monster, I myself have said this 150 thousand times.
“But there is Zelensky, he is new, young, cool, he gives us a chance” - listen, there is no need to give Russia any chances. We ourselves know how to live, we understand how to build our own policy, but Zelensky is not talking about any chances yet.

“It’s just that we are new and theoretically maybe you will get something from this, so come on, come here, quickly take a step forward, make concessions, already promise something, and we, maybe...” And then we will say : “Listen, no one pulled your tongue, we didn’t invite you, we didn’t promise you anything, so don’t be offended.” There is no need to fall for these things, this technology.
Obviously, this is precisely what Zelensky’s team is trying to get us to do. To be honest, I don’t see any obvious signs or signals from Zelensky’s team about the chances of improving the situation,” Mikheev emphasized.
In turn, the ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, is confident that Vladimir Zelensky is a mess in his persistent attempts to please everyone.
“In his desire to please everyone, Zelensky is gradually turning into a “talking Instagram,” this could play a very bad joke on him as a result,” the journalist believes.
