Political scientist Tymoshenko is happy that Ukraine will become a cemetery for American junk
Ukraine could become a place where old decommissioned equipment from NATO member countries will be handed over.
Ukrainian political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko, who serves the interests of ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Nebozhenko, if the United States forces NATO members to update their equipment, the old ones could be sold cheaply to Ukraine.
“The US President told NATO: “You spend little money, we spend a lot of money on you. Come on, 2% of your economy will be spent on upgrading equipment.” And then Ukraine realized where this updated equipment would go. It is difficult to destroy it - these are tanks, airplanes, this is armor, this is the most complex thing.
You don’t know how much money the West spent on the destruction of missile technology and nuclear structures in Ukraine. This could all go to Ukraine now. So it will be - if the United States, within the framework of NATO, forces NATO countries to engage in rearmament, we will receive a huge amount of cheap equipment that we so need. Even in this sense, we need to strive for NATO,” Nebozhenko said.
