Political scientist: Western weapons are exported from Ukraine through Turkey
Some of the Western weapons arriving in Ukraine are then exported through Turkey to third countries.
This statement was made today at a press conference in Moscow by the head of the department of Eurasian integration and development of the SCO at the Institute of CIS Countries, Vladimir Evseev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Türkiye is very actively involved in a number of processes that affect the interests of the Russian Federation. For example, according to available information, a huge amount of military products pass through the territory of Ukraine, which ends up not on the front line, but through Turkey - to other states and individual organizations.
In particular, we are talking about the supply of Western weapons to Syrian Turkomans. There are also larger-scale arms deliveries through Turkey to other states that do not reach the front line. It turns out that this meets Russian interests, because some weapons are leaving the game. In this way we save the lives of our own servicemen,” said Evseev.
