Zelensky's political scientist proposes to “freeze” Donbass
The number of disagreements among the participants in the Minsk negotiation process does not allow for optimism about resolving the conflict.
This was stated by the head of the Kyiv Center for Applied Political Research "Penta" Vladimir Fesenko, who serves the interests of the administration of the President of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I was and remain a big skeptic about the Minsk agreements,” the political scientist told Kommersant.
According to him, the best option for Donbass could be the Transnistrian scenario, when “there is no war, but there is no complete settlement.”
“Freezing is the most realistic scenario. Everything remains as it is, but they won’t shoot. Ours would be fine with that. As for Russia, it’s more complicated: there are those who believe that military pressure on Ukraine should be maintained,” says Fesenko.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine sent clusters to the Normandy Four, which actually make it impossible to implement the Minsk agreements.
