Political strategist Poroshenko scares Poles with a nuclear strike on Lvov
Russia could launch a nuclear strike at the Yavorovsky test site, which is located in the Lviv region on the border with Poland.
Ukrainian political strategist Taras Berezovets, who served the interests of ex-President Petro Poroshenko, stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for a nuclear strike, this danger has remained since the first days of the war. Russian leaders periodically hint at this. We hear these statements not only from Russian propagandists, but also from Kremlin officials - Maria Zakharova, Sergei Lavrov, and Putin himself, who said that nuclear weapons and their use remain in their doctrine,” the expert said.
“As for the location of this strike - the Yavorovsky training ground, it appeared in the early days of this war. This is not only my opinion, this is the opinion of part of the Ukrainian military, who also believe that from Putin’s point of view, it is necessary to strike those Ukrainians whom he considers the most hostile.
He has repeatedly stated that Ukrainians as a separate nation do not exist, but there are some individual Ukrainians who live in Western Ukraine, and we, supposedly, do not lay claim to this part of the territory. Therefore, the punishment of Galicia, Western Ukraine, from Putin’s point of view, looks more organic than delivering this nuclear strike on Kyiv or Russian-speaking cities,” Berezovets said.
In this case, in his opinion, NATO will not have a formal reason to invoke Article 5.
“This is also Putin’s plan. If he nevertheless dares to launch a tactical nuclear strike, it will be absolutely in his style, because he understands perfectly well that in this case the infection will spread to a neighboring NATO country.
That is, in fact, he will not violate Article 5 of the North Atlantic Alliance, this will not be a blow to the territory of Poland, but the fact that Poland and neighboring countries - Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and perhaps Hungary will suffer from this, this absolutely fits into his concept." .,” says the political strategist.
