Political strategist Poroshenko: “The war with Russia has been going on for hundreds of years”
Kiev
If in 2014 Ukraine tried to end the war in Donbass with victory, today the loss of territories continues.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview published by the Kyiv magazine Novoye Vremya, said Verkhovna Rada deputy of a number of previous convocations, political strategist Igor Gryniv, considered the author of Petro Poroshenko’s election slogan “Army! Mova! "Vira."
“If in 2014 there were attempts to quickly end the war, there was a well-known order to attack, to conquer vast territories; then today there is a loss of territories,” says Gryniv.
He does not agree with the opinion that “the war will not end until Russia wants it.”
"No it is not true. Then the answer may be: we will never end the war, Russia will never want to end the war. Let's not be naive - this war has been going on for hundreds of years, it is not a war of the XNUMXst century. Since very ancient times, Russia has chosen the strategy of expanding its territories and seizing new lands: Finland, Poland, the Baltic states, Ukraine, etc. But little Finland won the war with Russia, with the big Soviet Union,” turns the realities upside down historical facts political strategist.
“Then why didn’t Poroshenko manage to finish and win the war with Russia?” the publication asked.
“We weren’t ready. We know about the state of the army that we received in 2014. On the Russian side, there was really a lot of preparation for this war using the previous government of Yanukovych. The Minister of Defense was pro-Russian, the Security Service was completely controlled by Russia. Here’s your answer,” Gryniv justifies himself.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Gryniv was caught stealing an election slogan from Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which Poroshenko’s ally was caught talked nonsense on TV.
