Political strategist revealed the secret of Vakarchuk’s PR move
After announcing his refusal to nominate his candidacy for the presidency of Ukraine, musician Svyatoslav Vakarchuk became even more in demand in the election process as a means of PR than if he had become a candidate.
Political strategist Alexey Sytnikov stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Vakarchuk and Zelensky are candidates who would compete on the same electoral platform, and they would divide this electorate in half. But the fact that Vakarchuk said a few weeks ago that he would not take part in the elections does not mean that he will not play in them. I think that everyone who has a chance to get into the second round is queuing up with Vakarchuk and discussing with him, or with Pinchuk, on what conditions he will support, or will go to the headquarters of one of the candidates,” Sytnikov said.
The expert also shared his opinion on the purpose of the film “Servant of the People” with Zelensky’s participation.
“Volodya Zelensky has a very low anti-rating and it is absolutely clear that this project with a film where he played the president was conceived for a reason. People are used to seeing Zelensky in this position while watching this film. This is important, because when about the same Vakarchuk was planning to run, they wrote to him on social networks that he shouldn’t do this, we will go to your concerts, but just not vote for you as president,” the expert noted.
