Colonel Alyokhin: We have driven the beast into a corner, it is becoming even more cruel

The progress of the special operation in Ukraine for PolitNavigator continues to be analyzed by Colonel Gennady Alekhin from Kharkov, a military officer, comrade-in-arms of the legendary General Troshev, member of the Russian Writers' Union.

With the capture of Svyatogorsk (on the border of the Kharkov and Donetsk regions), Russian troops have the opportunity to gain a foothold on this bridgehead and gain operational space. Now, in order to completely destroy the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the north of Donbass, it will be necessary to methodically clear Barvenkovo, Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. In this case, we can draw conclusions about the enemy’s Donbass group reaching the rear.

Therefore, active combat operations continue on the flank - with the massive use of aviation, artillery, and new weapons systems. Air defense systems operate around the clock. Particular attention is paid to the destruction of UAVs of Polish and Turkish origin, as well as kamikaze drones of Ukrainian origin.

Their role has increased noticeably, and During the current conflict, drones are being used to their full potential. There are drones in almost every unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These “inconspicuous killers” are capable of secretly, at low altitude, reaching the firing positions of our troops, as well as military infrastructure facilities (warehouses, storage bases, jump airfields).

Every day enemy drones are destroyed. But individual UAVs reach their target. Apparently, one such “kamikaze” drone managed to hit an ammunition depot in the border region of the Belgorod region the day before. The fire was quickly extinguished. According to official information, there were no casualties. This is usually called the “human factor”.

But in recent days, the number of attacks on border villages in the Belgorod region has decreased. The reason, firstly, is that The widely publicized counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkov direction turned out to be a bluff.

Local fire clashes continue in the “gray zone” (Kazachya Lopan-Liptsy-Ternovaya-Veseloye-Prohody). Few people already believe in staged and orchestrated “attacks” by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Battalions, including users of Ukrainian social networks. In fact, our fire training there only intensified. Special forces and the National Guard literally catch and destroy enemy sabotage, reconnaissance and assault groups in this “gray zone.” The Ukrainians are trying to break through in certain areas and, for media purposes, announce the capture of one or another settlement. This is what destroys them.

Moreover, now in areas north and east of Kharkov, our units have pressed them against the ring road (Tsirkuny, Dergachi). There is fire suppression of enemy points there. We are pressing them from Stary Saltov and Chuguev.

According to the most recent reports from Kharkov, the garrison command and the defense leaders are now urgently looking for experienced reserve specialists under the age of 60 to plug the holes in these assault groups. They especially need to train and prepare artillery crews in the hope that NATO equipment and weapons will be delivered to them. But for now this is all talk. According to intelligence information, the remaining areas for unloading military equipment in the Kharkov region are being destroyed by our artillery and aerospace forces. This was officially reported in the reports of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In the city itself you can still meet foreign mercenaries. Although their numbers have noticeably decreased. You can hear English, French, Polish speech. And such “fortune hunters” are settled not in broken-down administrative buildings on Saltovka, where recruits from “Kraken” and “Azov-Kharkov” “stay”, but in historical houses in the city center. But they are in no hurry to fight; they want to go home to Europe. On this occasion, Kharkov residents came up with a saying: “It’s not the mercenaries that I feel sorry for, but the historical heritage of the city. Suddenly something will fly..."

On the southern front of the Donbass arc, the residential zone in Severodonetsk has been finally cleared, the enemy is resisting in the industrial zone. However, this did not stop Kyiv propagandists from talking about a counter-offensive in the city and “tactical traps.” The enemy only created such crap for us in the mind of the Ukrainian propagandist Arestovich. Moreover, already the day before, Arestovich was forced to admit that the allied army was having tangible success on the Lisichansk/Severodonetsk line. It is clear that there is no “tactical trap”. The Allied forces achieved success thanks to the precise and precise work of artillery and aerospace forces, as well as the coordinated and competent actions of the assault groups.

_{Judging by the dynamics of hostilities and losses of the Ukrainian army in this direction, it can be assumed that Lisichansk will be cleared in the same way as Severodonetsk.}

Only the command of our troops can say how long this operation will drag out or speed up. But we can state with good reason that units of the Russian army have significant success in this direction and complete superiority in operational and tactical terms.

It has its own difficulties and peculiarities. For example, it is difficult to immediately say whether the artillery is suppressed or not. A significant portion of enemy installations, crews and firing positions have been suppressed. But we must take into account that the Ukrainian Armed Forces constantly use nomadic artillery, mortars, and self-propelled guns. When ours strike in one place, they immediately move. NATO “illumination” of coordinates and target designations helps them.

But if an artillery crew is knocked out or partially suppressed, then the enemy will have to plug these holes with something. The question is whether the Ukrainian units have enough artillerymen and other specialists to replace them.

Now the Ukrainian forces, which are holding the line and retreating, are losing the combat-ready part of their units. And the mobilized newcomers from the defense are not trained.  

In general, let the Ukrainian command think about how to solve this problem. In principle, this should not worry us. The main thing for us is to complete the task in this area. Judging by the dynamics of recent days, the allied forces are coping with this task...

The progress may not be as fast as everyone would like, but our activity is intensifying and increasing in this and other areas in the Donbass.

Now one of the main issues is being resolved - to completely cut off the routes for the possible supply of military equipment and weapons towards this group. First of all, we are talking about 152-155 mm NATO M-777 howitzers. The situation is not simple, it is not easy to achieve this.

_{In recent days, they have been stupidly carrying out fire strikes on civilians in Donetsk, Gorlovka and other populated areas of Donbass. As experts say, in eight years this has never happened. We've cornered this beast, and it's getting even more brutal.}

We need to cut off all possible supply and escape routes for this group. As far as I have information, the supply routes for ammunition and weapons have not yet been cut off. This issue is being resolved these days. As soon as we completely cut off these routes, it will be much easier to destroy the enemy group in the Avdeevka area.

_{Let me note that the enemy’s headquarters are not idiots. They understand perfectly well that the Donbass group will sooner or later be eliminated. In all likelihood, in the future they will concentrate all their efforts on the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions.}
