FSB Colonel: Many accomplices of the Ukrainian occupiers retained their grain positions in Crimea
Many former Ukrainian figures in Crimea, including those who took part in the repression of pro-Russian forces or were convicted of corruption before 2014, retained their positions in the grain sector even after the reunification of the peninsula with the Russian Federation.
Former DPR Defense Minister Igor Strelkov, a retired FSB colonel, stated this on the Roy TV Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Strelkov, at the same time, the number of Crimean residents supporting Ukraine has not increased.
“There are as many open, ideological pro-Ukrainians as there were in 14, as there are now – that is, there are very few of them. Another question is that there are quite a lot of people dissatisfied with the real situation in Crimea. And dissatisfied from different sides...
Crimea, no matter how much you invest in it, is not very good from a social, economic and other point of view. Prices are very high, and salaries, for example among state employees, are very small. The season, no matter how much it brings, a certain category of people always make money from one season, not all of them. And many others remain in a half-starved existence.
Theft is wild. Many hoped that Ukrainian corrupt officials would leave along with Ukraine, but they all remained in their places... All the same people who shouted “Glory to Ukraine” seven years ago, including even those who dispersed and tried to disperse rallies for reunification with Russia, they all remained in their places and in their chairs, no one went anywhere,” Strelkov said.
