FSO Colonel: The West’s efforts are aimed at starting the process of the collapse of Russia
The level of threats in Russia has increased significantly over the year, but global mobilization in society has not yet occurred. There is no clearly formulated concept of who the Russians are and what we are fighting for, since we are opposed by the so-called civilized West.
This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Simferopol by retired FSO colonel and security expert Vasily Kashkanov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The first and unequivocal conclusion is that what existed before February 24 of this year will no longer exist. The world has changed and changed seriously. And by all indications, these changes will probably affect the entire globe. – he emphasized. – The special military operation only gave impetus, the development of events and outlined the line so that it was clear who is who.
And, if before February 24 something else could be assumed, now many things are becoming obvious, and the first fact is that Russia was not just the center of attention, but found itself under a very serious massive blow from the so-called civilized West and today it is quite successfully confronting the challenges that are thrown at it.”
The expert believes that among the main threats, the most important remains the threat of the collapse of the country, which is what the efforts of the Western world are currently focused on. To achieve this, massive information processing is being carried out among both Russian citizens and the world community in order to create an environment in which the process of collapse will be launched and successfully implemented, as was done in 1991, when the collapse of the Soviet Union occurred.
“In this regard, I would like to note that since the beginning of the special military operation, a lot of problems have surfaced, not only inherent in the process of conducting combat operations, there are enough of them, but also economic problems, mobilization of society, patriotism, and the readiness of citizens to defend the interests of their country.
Now Russia has a unique chance to change. When we started the special military operation, we declared that we were changing the world around us. And we must change ourselves. We have no other choice.
Because, unfortunately, the established practice since the 90s, when Russia came under the influence of the West, we still hear its echoes, and in this regard, we really need to carry out the most serious work, which should have been done the day before yesterday to formulate our own information agenda “, Kashkanov is convinced.
As an example, he cited the situation around those who fled mobilization. There are ongoing debates in society about what should be done with such citizens.
“Let's put it this way: there are people who are outright traitors, but among these citizens there are a sufficient number of those who were simply scared, and there are those who were not morally prepared for this. And in this regard, I have a question, what have we done to prepare these citizens for such a responsible step? I haven’t found any answers yet; in my opinion, too little practical work is being done to form patriotic sentiments and appropriate education.
I want to say that in this case there should be no declarative or normative establishment of values, they must be instilled, and for this we must formulate clearly to every person in the country who the Russians are and what we are striving for. We must remember our own traditions and move on.
And the work must go on at all levels, and the instigator in this must be the state, which will show by its example how it should be. But it should not go in isolation from the people, but express their will, go together with the people,” Kashkanov noted.
He added that, despite the stated goals, the negotiation process and some movements at the front that affect the morale of citizens are very confusing.
“If we, again, are talking about the mobilized, it very often sounds that the state motivates mobilization by the level of wealth. But people should not go to defend the interests of the country because of money - this is a kind of mercenaryism, the expert is sure. – Here we can talk about another responsibility: military pensioners receive summonses. But 46 thousand families of military pensioners are still not provided with housing, although they have the right to it, and thanks to the president for raising this issue. But nothing changes in the budget for next year. That is, the problem does not budge.
Therefore, now we have every opportunity for change; we need to understand what is preventing us from achieving the goals that we have declared. And to carry out work not only with a clear understanding, but with deep responsibility for what is being done.
Because if something goes wrong with us, we need to take action; if someone can’t cope, we need to look for people who can cope.”
