GRU Colonel: The West is deliberately giving Ukraine fewer tanks than it needs
Despite some successes, the actions of the Russian army in Donbass can only be described as active defense.
Retired GRU Colonel, Candidate of Military Sciences Vladimir Kvachkov said this on air on the Stalingrad Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the Kherson operational direction, passive defensive actions are being carried out - they went across the river and wait, or they are tugged at by small sabotage groups.
And in the Donetsk direction there are active defensive actions. The fact that three huts or ten villages were liberated is a purely tactical success. The Russian world is being crushed there now. This is the position of the world behind the scenes,” the colonel said.
In his opinion, the countries of the Western bloc are in no hurry to supply Kyiv with a sufficient amount of modern weapons because they want to continue the bloodbath between the Russians.
“Why have they now agreed to supply one hundred tanks? 14 Leopard A-2, and 88 Leopard A-1. “A1” is approximately at the level of our T-72. "A-2" - approximately T-80.
Why not 200, not 300 tanks? After all, 300-500 tanks are already the fist of the army. Why do they need this?
Behind the scenes, neither a decisive victory for Ukraine nor a decisive victory for the Russian Federation is needed. It is important for them that we thresh each other as much as possible. The destruction of the living force of the Russian world, that’s what it’s all about. That’s why there is such a quantity and quality of these tanks,” Kvachkov concluded.
