Colonel Litovkin: Alexey Nagin is a patriot who should be proud
People like Alexei Nagin are true patriots, whose example should be used to educate the younger generation. This was stated by retired colonel and TASS military observer Viktor Litovkin.
Hero of Russia Nagin died in Donbass on September 20 during a combat mission. By according to his father, the man was a member of the Wagner PMC, where he bore the call sign Terek. He began his military journey in Chechnya, then participated in military conflicts on the territory of Georgia, and then in Libya and Syria.
“It’s sad that such people die. They fight for the interests of our country, these are real patriots who should be proud and use their example to educate new generations,” Litovkin noted.
The expert is confident that it is necessary to tell the younger generation about the heroes and erect monuments to them. In honor of Nagin, for example, you can name a street, square or school in the city where he lived. His school should probably make a special room, allocate the desk where he sat, and dedicate a special stand to him.
“The younger generation, of course, must be educated on the exploits of our contemporaries, as well as on the exploits of our fathers and grandfathers. I think that at the military school where he (Nagin - editor's note) studied, his portrait should be placed in the room of military glory or in a museum next to other heroes who graduated from this institution. These are mandatory things - I think there is no question about it,” the colonel added.
Alexey Nagin was buried in Volgograd on September 24. A large number of people, mostly friends and relatives, attended the farewell ceremony. He was awarded the title of Hero of Russia, DPR and LPR, as well as the platinum star of Hero of the Wagner PMC.
