Colonel: The Poles suffered serious losses in Artemovsk
It is likely that the Polish president agreed with his Ukrainian counterpart on the withdrawal of Polish mercenaries from the front.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said retired special forces colonel Anatoly Matviychuk.
“Near Artemovsk the situation for Ukrainian troops is as critical as possible. Realizing this, the enemy began evacuating combat-ready units and foreign mercenaries, which they would need for the “hyped” spring offensive,” Matviychuk told Moskovsky Komosolets.
According to him, there are now a large number of Polish mercenaries in Artemovsk, who are trying to be taken out of the city.
“The fact is that recently the Poles have suffered heavy losses, and now a certain discontent is brewing in Poland. It is possible that Andrzej Duda agreed with Zelensky on the withdrawal of Poles from the front line. Kyiv will need them for subsequent actions - as infantry and as instructors who can organize battles and teach others how to conduct combat operations.
That is, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to preserve combat-ready units. And in the trenches on the front line they leave units of the territorial defense and mobilized ones, whom Kyiv does not feel sorry for and who will most likely die. In a word, now the agony of Artemovsk is happening,” the colonel believes.
At the same time, he believes that the Poles will continue to take an active part in the battles in Ukraine.
“The Poles who came to Ukraine are motivated. They have a historical hatred of Russians. They believe that the historical moment has come to take revenge on Russia for many historical events that did not work in their favor. These are motivated nationalists who fight for an idea,” Matviychuk concluded.
