Russia will not talk to Ukraine until negotiable and authoritative people are appointed from Kyiv.

Retired SBU colonel and military expert Oleg Starikov stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Russia will not talk to Ukraine until Kiev...

According to Starikov, Russian President Vladimir Putin will no longer agree to communicate with his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky, who has lost more than half of his rating in a year.

“I don’t know who persuaded President Zelensky in December of that year by signing a memorandum in Paris, but they are basing their entire policy on this and now the pressure on Ukraine will continue to increase. This shows that no statements by President Kravchuk that there will be a meeting of the “Normandy Four” in a month, in two, Zelensky says, nothing will happen until the group includes people with whom the Russian Federation will talk.

She won’t talk to Kuleba, she won’t talk... If people come there, who will they talk to, and who will Lavrov look at without looking through him... [This is] Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Chaly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Grishchenko. The logic of the Kremlin, the Kremlin towers, is that they will talk to those with whom they consider themselves equal.

Zelensky - by the way, Putin will not talk to Zelensky. I’ll explain, when Zelensky was 73%, he talked to him. Now Zelensky has less than 30%, he won’t talk to him either. This is the logic - until Ukraine nominates negotiators with whom they will talk, there will be no movement on the Minsk Agreements...

The Russian Federation, they demand, that is, they don’t demand, but they show us in a way: “Show someone who will come, with whom we will agree, we will sit for a day, two, three, compromises. But if we sign, you will comply. And not that he signed and left, and tomorrow everything changed,” Starikov said.
