Colonel Trukhan: Lukashenko and the zmagaryo trusted
The Belarusian authorities and local Maidan activists are in vain hoping that the West will help them. Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in reserve Vladimir Trukhan stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, the experience of Ukraine should become proof for Belarus that in the event of a break with Russia, it does not bode well for it.
“They trusted Lukashenko. Yes, not only Lukashenko - and the “zmagarya” also entrusted himself. They all put their trust there in abundance - that’s the question. Zmagarye, let’s say, what is he counting on? They expect that now the EU will give them money in the same way as it gave to the Baltics for equalization, which simply had time. They don’t understand, the example of Ukraine doesn’t tell them anything, they believe that they didn’t give it to Ukraine, but they will give it to them. And everything will work out great for them right away, and there will be a second Finland there.
But guys, Finland got punched in the face several times before she learned to behave calmly. They say all sorts of vile things about us, but they speak in whispers and are afraid. We don't really need this topic. It's the same story here. Instead of building normal relations, they are now starting to quarrel with Russia again,” Trukhan said.
