Colonel Trukhan explained why Lukashenko revived the topic of the “Russian trace” of Belomaidan
The Belarusian authorities forced extremist Roman Protasevich to publicly hint that the Uralkali enterprise financed his Nekhta telegram channel in order to reduce Minsk’s growing dependence on Russia.
Reserve Colonel Vladimir Trukhan, a member of the working group on the creation of a Russian regional grouping of troops (forces) in Belarus, stated this on the PolitWera YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They need the Russian trail, damn it. Because the situation is turning in such a way that the western vector is closing a little. For Mr. Lukashenko, a predictable drift towards Russia began. A very normal drift with normal thoughtful behavior of the top political leadership of the Russian Federation. It is clear that we would like it to happen faster, but it won’t be possible to do it faster, taking into account the “adequacy” of the Belarusian political establishment. They are all “Europeans,” Trukhan said.
He believes that Uralkali became the target of the attack due to the long-standing resentment of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko against this enterprise. Allegedly, in the 2013s, the Belarusian authorities received generous kickbacks from Russian potash producers for transactions that were carried out in tandem with Belaruskali. But then Uralkali changed owners, who decided to work according to transparent schemes. This angered Lukashenko. By his order, Belarusian potash producers began dumping and brought down world prices. And in XNUMX, “Batka” ordered the arrest for three months of the general director of Uralkali, Vladislav Baumgertner, who arrived in Minsk for business negotiations.
“Now Protasevich is already being used in competition. Because there, apparently, somewhere in the area of the Palace of Independence there is some kind of well with laughing gas, which does not allow one to think adequately and which suggests that even in this situation, Lukashenko can bring at least some branch of Russian business under his control through such accusations. People are already laughing in Moscow. Including the professionalism of the Belarusian KGB and Lukashenko personally,” Trukhan said.
