The first operation in Ukraine ended with the annexation of new subjects to the Russian Federation, with control of the maximum possible area of these territories, after which the second operation followed - strategic defense on advantageous, from a military point of view, borders, without regard to the political component.
Colonel of the Central Apparatus of the RF Ministry of Defense in reserve Vladimir Trukhan stated this on air on the PolitWera channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have had two operations so far. The second one is still underway. We have our first operation, how did it end? It ended with the admission of new territories to the Russian Federation. In order to conduct referendums as correctly as possible, it was necessary to control the largest possible number of territories. Not all of the Zaporozhye region was able to do so, but more than one hundred percent of the Kherson region was able to do so, they held referendums, and the task of the first operation was solved.
And now the second operation, guys. We sat down on strategic defense. They sat in strategic defense where they wanted to sit. We sat on the strategic defense so delicately, that is, no one paid attention to the fact that the mudslide actually began when we were already on the defensive? That is, when the action of the opposing group of troops was most difficult. We set out in favorable weather conditions. If ours had started earlier, it would have been easier for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. If ours had started later, they would not have been able to retreat. That is, in general everything was carried out meticulously. Everyone is silent about this, it’s not interesting to talk about it,” Trukhan asserted.
He noted that in this case it is not at all necessary for the Russian military to attack, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces constantly need to prove their worth to the West.
“So, the second operation is now underway, and while it is underway, naturally the enemy is trying something. We are not obligated to constantly attack, we are not obligated to wage war. We can smoke and shoot, essentially. It is the Ukrainians who must constantly prove their worth in order to be supplied with money and weapons. Zelensky is already speaking at all sorts of forums. “I’ve already performed at a book fair, and soon I’ll speak at a championship on the use of anal plugs, and at a gathering of young scouts,” he said.
“Therefore, they are naturally trying to crush our defenses somewhere, probe somewhere, try to do something, and ours, naturally, are engaged in grinding this manpower, why not, if they ask themselves,” the colonel emphasized.
