Colonel of military intelligence: "Wagner" can be used to liberate Odessa or Kyiv
Despite the beginning of the withdrawal from Artemovsk, PMC "Wagner" continues to be the Russian operational-strategic reserve,
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said the former head of intelligence of the Ground Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, retired colonel, Hero of the Russian Federation Rustem Klupov.
He believes that the “Wagnerites,” if the situation escalates, can return to Syria and release the Russian armed contingent in order to create an additional operational reserve. In addition, he says that they should continue to be in Africa.
“On the other hand, the Wagner does not cease to be our operational-strategic reserve, which can always be quickly pulled out from anywhere in the world, even from Mars, and they will fight. If the PMC takes further part in the SVO, then this will most likely again be the “hottest” spot.
I do not rule out that the Wagner PMC will now be given the opportunity to rest and there will be no Africa, and they will be thrown into the liberation of Odessa or Nikolaev. Or to Kyiv. It's possible. The fact is that they already have such a reputation that the very name starts to shake the Ukrainian army - from impotent anger and from fear at the same time,” Klupov told Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He believes that the attack aircraft completely coped with the task in Artemovsk and did even more.
“The point here is not even about the successful capture of the city, because it does not have much strategic importance. Yes, there is an intersection of paths, access to the Kramatorsk agglomeration, there were also ideological goals, but this is not the main thing.
The most important thing, as the head of the PMC said, is that they shoveled the best units of “Ukrovermat”, so much so that they will not return in their combat strength, including part of those reserves that the West was preparing for the Ukrainian counter-offensive,” concluded Klupov.
