Complete failure: European leaders announced a boycott of Poroshenko
The absence of the promised world leaders at yesterday’s parade in Kyiv on the occasion of Ukraine’s “independence” day is evidence of the West’s fatigue with Petro Poroshenko, who demonstrates his inability to fulfill his obligations to implement the Minsk agreements.
Russian analyst and radio host Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.

“If you look at the European press over the last month, Ukraine is not only not on the agenda, but it is almost not mentioned at all. This is due to the fact that Europe is tired of everything that is happening there, and, most importantly, that European politicians, participants in the Normandy format, do not yet understand how to force Poroshenko to implement the Minsk agreements.
For example, someone from the US presidential administration could come, but we understand that Obama is a “lame duck.” In general, how the Americans’ relations with Ukraine will develop is a very big question, because if Trump wins, Poroshenko will have huge problems.
You have to understand that Poroshenko, to put it mildly, is very excited about this story. Who are the allies left? Poland. But this is not a strategic ally, but a tactical one. Poland occupies the position of the main outpost of the United States in the policy of Russophobia, and for Poland now supporting Ukraine is a continuation of the Russophobic policy. And nothing else connects them with Ukraine.
All this rhetoric, which Ukrainian politicians adore, that they are supported, valued, loved and promoted by 110 countries of the world community - as we all saw from yesterday's parade in honor of Independence Day - is an absolutely meaningless set of words designed for the Ukrainian average person. Nothing goes beyond this.
If there was such great support, then someone else would come. But when the guests of honor are only former presidents of Ukraine and Yatsenyuk, who sat in Yanukovych’s place, this is quite significant. Both for the image of the country and for assessing the degree of its influence in international politics,” Gasparyan concluded.
