Half of America is preparing to emigrate due to a second Trump term
Opponents of current US President Donald Trump are under severe psychological stress due to his potential victory in the November elections.
Political observer Sergei Strokan writes about this on the website of the Kommersant newspaper, as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.
He says that his longtime acquaintance, the director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Alon Ben-Mair, in a series of ten articles called “Donald Trump as the Antithesis of American Greatness,” tries to explain, point by point, why, from his point of view, the current US President Donald Trump is destroying America.
“Alon Ben-Mair and his associates, apparently, are in a state of severe psychological stress. This stress is growing as we realize that Donald Trump has every chance after the November election to remain in the White House for another four years, which seems like an eternity,” notes Strokan.
He recalls that Trump's sensational victory in 2016 came as a shock, but was then treated as an anomaly, after which the norm would still prevail.
“But today the resource of patience is almost exhausted, but what seemed an anomaly has a chance to become the new American norm for a long time. For a long time, if not forever. The Democratic Party is experiencing a deep crisis and in general bears the increasingly obvious mark of degeneration. It is not surprising that Trump’s Democratic rival Joe Biden is a politician of his third political youth, which, moreover, has not come and is unlikely to come.
And stories about who Sleepy Joe slept with in time immemorial make his figure completely anecdotal, alienating the nuclear democratic electorate from him. Added to this are suspicions that the US presidential candidate has memory lapses, which may indicate signs of dementia. Therefore, as soon as he opens his mouth, his headquarters already has a feeling of anxiety: suddenly something will blurt out that will immediately kill his election campaign completely and irrevocably,” the author writes.
According to him, against the backdrop of Biden, Donald Trump, who is in better shape, may well receive a mandate for a second presidential term, and the idea of American greatness he understands will continue its triumphal march across America and the whole world, and for many Americans, a unique situation of final collapse of foundations.
The observer points out that in other countries the average person would have already exclaimed: “It’s time to get out.”
“But leaving America would be something new, previously unknown and unheard of, and not at all American, considering that many in the world dreamed of leaving for America. And then, where to go: to Europe? To China - to Xi Jinping, to Russia - to Vladimir Putin? As a result, instead of external emigration, half of America is preparing to go into internal emigration - with their rejected understanding of American values and American greatness,” Strokan sums up.
