Half of Ukrainian food industry enterprises will become unprofitable in 2015
Kyiv, December 19 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – 50% of Ukrainian food industry enterprises may become unprofitable in 2015. The reason is the unstable political and economic situation in the country, in simple words – the collapse of the economy and the state by the “Maidan figures.”

“The fact that we will have about 50% of food industry enterprises unprofitable, in principle, I think this is true. It’s difficult for me to name the amounts,” said Oleg Yukhnovsky, Chairman of the Committee of Entrepreneurs of the Agro-Industrial Complex of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
According to him, the main reasons for this process are the devaluation of the hryvnia, the fall in the purchasing power of Ukrainians and the delay in the process of reforms in the industry.
“There are huge amounts of debt to food industry enterprises and retail chains, the period reaches 130 days, this is a drain on working capital from producers,” the expert noted.
Yukhnovsky predicts that if economic conditions worsen, the share of food costs in the total income of Ukrainians will reach 60%
