Half of Russian entrepreneurs are ready to hire gays
Only 1% of Russian entrepreneurs know that there are LGBT representatives among their employees, and more than a third will not hire such employees.
This is evidenced by the results of a joint study by Inc. and the Omnibus agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The vast majority of entrepreneurs surveyed (97%) said that there are no representatives of the LGBT community in their company. 2% found it difficult to answer, and only 1% said that they have such employees.
At the same time, 51% of business owners said that if they hired an open representative of the LGBT community, this would not be a problem for them. But for 37% of respondents, the candidate’s orientation will be the decisive factor in the decision to refuse a job.
The study involved 321 small and medium-sized business owners from 32 Russian regions. The majority of respondents were men (61%).
