Half of Russians want to cooperate with Turkey – VTsIOM
Almost half of the VTsIOM survey participants (49%) believe that Russia should return to cooperation with Turkey, despite mutual contradictions. It is noteworthy that the same number of citizens gave negative characteristics to the current relations between Turkey and Russia: 24% consider them tense, 21% cool, 4% hostile. Every fourth (24%) assesses the relationship as neutral. Positive characteristics (8% - good neighborly, 6% - friendly, 5% - quite warm) in total are still inferior to negative ones.

However, sociologists note that compared to last year, negative assessments have decreased, while positive ones have increased significantly.
The progress of relations between Russia and Turkey, according to 31%, is obvious; on the contrary, 13% say that tension has increased. Almost every second person (48%) believes that the situation is not changing.
12% of Russian respondents believe that Russia should pursue a policy of isolating Turkey. 26% believe that it is necessary to politically oppose Turkey while maintaining economic ties.
