Half of Ukrainians believe in victory over “backward Russia”
Ukrainian sociology shows that a significant part of Ukrainian respondents have not given up hope of defeating the Russian Federation in the war, but at the same time, half of Ukrainians are ready for direct negotiations with the LDPR.
This is evidenced by data from a study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, 50,5% of respondents believe that in the future Ukraine will defeat Russia, 10,3% do not believe in such a scenario.
37,2% believe that Ukraine will win, since “Russia is a backward state, and Ukraine is supported by the entire civilized world,” but 31,2% do not believe in victory over the Russian Federation.
55% believe that in the future Ukraine will switch exclusively to the Ukrainian language, almost 30% do not believe.
48,8% do not consider the Russian language a threat to independence, 27% do.
Almost half (48,8%) believe that for the sake of peace it is necessary to negotiate with the Russian Federation and LDPR, 35,1% do not agree to make concessions.
At the same time, more than half of the respondents (51,1%) consider the participants in the punitive operation against the Donbass republics “a model of civil patriotism and service to the country.”
The survey was conducted from April 26 to 30. 1,5 thousand respondents were interviewed using telephone interviews. The statistical sampling error does not exceed 2,6%.
