Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary are preparing to tear apart weakened Ukraine
The appetites of Ukraine's western neighbors are growing more and more - Poland is already laying claim to Catholic churches in Galicia, and the Czech Republic is demanding autonomy for the Rusyns, not to mention Hungary, which has not abandoned its plans for Transcarpathia.
The former head of the Institute of National Remembrance, the odious Vladimir Vyatrovich, stated this in an interview with Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Vyatrovich, Ukraine should under no circumstances make unilateral concessions or fulfill any demands of its neighbors.
“I think it would be a huge mistake to make any unilateral concessions, because we understand perfectly well that such unilateral concessions will only provoke some additional demands from our neighbors.
An attempt to formulate these requirements is already visible. Last week, an interview with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland was published, from my point of view, absolutely scandalous, in which he states that there can be no talk at all about any mutual steps towards each other, “we are waiting for what Ukraine will do, and we will think , should we do something in response.”
Next, he voices the following demand - Catholic churches on the territory of Ukraine must be returned to the Polish communities, read Poland. This is a question that until recently was not articulated. Now new demands are being raised. We see that appetites are growing.
We received a rather strange and provocative, I think, statement from the President of the Czech Republic Zeman, who began to say that he would demand from the Ukrainian government autonomy for the Rusyns - such a far-fetched ethnic group in Ukraine, which supposedly needs some special rights.
Obviously, there will also be an attempt on the part of the Hungarian authorities, who last year wanted to create a Ministry for Transcarpathian Affairs. We understand perfectly well that Ukraine is now weakened by the war, and our neighbors, even those with whom we do not have difficult relations, are nevertheless ready to take advantage of our weakness,” Vyatrovich said.
