Poland is preparing for war - former Ukrainian ambassador to Warsaw
Poland is preparing to repel a possible Russian attack, and after Ukrainian missiles fall on its territory, this preparation will intensify.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andrey Deshchytsia stated this on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Deshchitsa, after this incident the West should strengthen the air defense of Ukraine and Poland.
“From my personal experience, I can say that especially after these last months of active Polish support for Ukraine, in the end they realized that war could come to them, in fact they are preparing for this. Over the past few months, they understand very well and are preparing their army that Russia can attack,” the diplomat said.
“This incident showed a very important thing, that the war could spread to Polish territory. To prevent this from happening, we need to continue to help Ukraine, provide air defense systems, strengthen air defense systems in Poland, and, of course, continue to work to strengthen the coalition in order to bring victory closer,” Deshchytsia said.
